Job Description: Sioux City Foundry Co.has been around for over 150 years of business with the aim to be the region's leading quality supplier of metal products and services. We are in fact growing, and we want you to be a part of it! We are looking for an individual to work on machines and facilitate preventative maintenance within our South Sioux City Plant. This position will1st shift framework of 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. schedule M-TH with Fridays and Saturdays as needed. Must be able to: •Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment. •Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. •Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions, following checklists. •Assemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment. •Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions. •Record maintenance and repair work performed and the costs of the work. •Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.•Paint and repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, and other parts of building structures. •Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts. •Perform other tasks as assigned.
Required Experience: Electrical background a plus!
