Expert Metal Castings

Metal Castings are one of the oldest products made by working iron. Sioux City Foundry has been an expert metal castings foundry for over 140 years. We are able to adjust the metallurgy of the iron we use to make the resulting products harder or more resilient, depending on our clients' specific needs. Adding alloying elements and using secondary processes, like heat treatment or annealing, can also be used to control the properties of the castings.

Sioux City Foundry supplies gray iron, as well as ductile, austempered ductile and ni-hard cast iron castings to our customers in industrial, engineering, architectural, municipal and creative fields.

Custom Metal Castings

Our staff of knowledgeable and experienced professionals and sales people, along with our modern facilities and methods of production, allow us to provide competitively priced, high quality metal castings. New furnaces, installed 2009, in-house metallurgical testing and heat-treating capabilities, assure our customers receive the quality products they expect and deserve.

We have the capability to pour and repair Custom Metal Castings, from a few ounces to a few tons, and from ten to ten thousand castings. We produce various mold sizes with green sand molding processes, utilizing Hunters, Squeezer, and Rota-Lift systems, as well as the Flaskless no-bake molding system. We also have the capability to produce oil sand, shell sand, isocure, and no-bake cores.
