NEW! ISO 9001:2015 Certification
American Systems Registrar, an accredited, third-party system registration, has determined Sioux City Foundry Co. has established a quality management system that is in conformance with the International Quality System Standard ISO 9001:2015. The new ISO 9001:2015 version of the standard brings a wide range of added benefits Sioux City Foundry Co. provides. It pays more attention to risk management, interested parties and the context of our company. We put a greater emphasis on leadership engagement and our processes in regards to internal and external communication, as well as providing our customers with quality products and services.

IMAGE Membership Certification
Sioux City Foundry is now a member of the IMAGE program. The IMAGE (ICE Mutual Agreement between Government and Employers) program focuses on exceptional employers that serve as a role model in the business community, while highlighting the importance and viability of immigration compliance. This program aims to develop a more secure and stable workforce and combat unlawful employment to reduce vulnerabilities that help illegal aliens gain such employment).

Sioux City Foundry is recognized by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) for successfully meeting the quality certification requirements for Standard of Steel Building Structures. AISC's certification program sets the quality standard for the structural steel industry and is the most recognized, national quality certification program in the industry.

Epoxy Coating Plant Certification
Sioux City Foundry is a member of the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI), a voluntary industry-sponsored program. This program ensures our plant and employees are trained, equipped, and capable of producing high quality epoxy-coated reinforcing bars. Areas evaluated in the program include: quality control policies and procedures, handling and storage practices, surface preparation, curing, holiday testing, thickness measurement, and adhesion testing. CRSI certification inspections are made annually and aim to help plants produce and deliver high quality material, improve plant operations, and recognize excellence in the industry.

Sioux City Foundry is also a member of the Epoxy Interest Group (EIG) of CRSI. EIG is a non-profit trade association which services as an authoritative resourece of information related to the use of epoxy-coated steel for reinforcing concrete. It helps specifiers, engineers, architects, fabricators and end-users receive the most up-to-date information regarding proper use and educated consumers and manufacturers about epoxy-coated reinforcing steel. This provides professionals the information necessary to improve the quality of their epoxy-coated reinforcing steel to strengthen concrete and prevent corrosion. Sioux City Foundry is authorized by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) for the scope of manufacturing pressure vessels. ASME is a professional organization focused on technical, education and research issues in the engineering and technology community. ASME U-Stamp Certification is sought by manufacturers of pressure vessels so that consumers and certification boards are comfortable with the standard of equipment moderation and maintenance. ASME U-Stamp Certification is respected by professionals industry-wide, and is a part of the process which ensures optimal safety and production are not compromised. National Board Certification
The National Board of Boiler & Pressure Vessel Inspectors (NBBI) has authorized the "R" and "NB" marks in accordance with the provisions of the National Board. The scope of authorization for the "R" Stamp is limited as metallic Repairs and/or alterations at the designated location and extended for field repairs and/or alterations controlled by Sioux City Foundry. The scope of authorization for the "NB" Stamp is limitied to items manufactured in accorance with ASME "U" Stamp. The "NB" mark is used by manufacturers and assemblers to identify pressure relief devices that have been certified by the National Board.
