Sioux City Foundry Company to Host
SteelDay® on September 25th
SIOUX CITY, IOWA (September 21, 2015) - Sioux City Foundry is set to host a group of architects, engineers and contractors for SteelDay 2015 event on September 25th, 2015. Attendees will have the opportunity to earn continuing education credit during the webinar, experience a facility tour and interact with Sioux City Foundry as the benefits of structural steel are discussed.
SteelDay 2015, sponsored by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), is the annual national event dedicated to providing accessibility to the latest happenings in the structural steel industry. SteelDay events such as facility tours, educational seminars, and jobsite visits are scheduled across the U.S. to showcase how the structural steel industry contributes to building America.
"SteelDay gives you an appreciation for what goes into your design and [the steel industry’?s] efforts to recycle and be environmentally friendly," commented Rick Miles, P.E., a Steel Day attendee and senior engineer at Sparks Engineering, Inc, in Round Rock, Texas.
As concerns over the economy linger, building professionals want to reduce their risk and control their costs more than ever. Increasingly, they also need to be sensitive to the environmental impacts of their projects. This event will show that building with structural steel is a very effective strategy toward meeting these goals and ensures a successful project is delivered on time and on budget.
