Epoxy Coating Plant Certification
Sioux City Foundry is a member of the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI), a voluntary industry-sponsored program. This program ensures our plant and employees are trained, equipped, and capable of producing high quality epoxy-coated reinforcing bars. Areas evaluated in the program include: quality control policies and procedures, handling and storage practices, surface preparation, curing, holiday testing, thickness measurement, and adhesion testing. CRSI certification inspections are made annually and aim to help plants produce and deliver high quality material, improve plant operations, and recognize excellence in the industry.
